OWL MARCHING BAND NEWS The Westminster High School Owl Marching Band concluded their competition season on Saturday, November 1st with a gutsy performance at the Bands of America Super Regional Championships held at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Georgia. The 99-member Marching Owls competed in the preliminary round against 34 nationally-ranked southeastern bands. Westminster was one of twelve top-scoring bands to make it through from the preliminary phase to the finals. They performed a thrilling, driving, heart-pounding show and received a standing ovation for their finals performance. In the end, they were awarded 4th place for the championship which is the highest placement ever for Westminster at a national competition. Congratulations to all the hard-working students, staff and directors for an amazing finish to a spectacular season. 2009 Competitive Season The 2009 season has begun with a bang under the direction of
Mr. Mark Lortz and Mr. Brian Drake.
