There are two types of eligibility. They are:
- Academic Eligibility
- Conduct Eligibility
|
What types of activities will eligibility effect?
Co-Curricular Activities
- Those activities that are part of a class activity during the school day.
Extra-Curricular Activities
- Those activities where students are competing or performing in public, representing the school or in an elected or appointed leadership position.
|
Restrictions because of academic ineligibility are:
- A student may not be a participant in a public performance for any extracurricular activity.
- A student may not travel with a group/team for any extracurricular activity.
- A student may not participate with group/team for any extracurricular activity until an interim report is issued which meets eligibility requirements, and with the approval of the coach/advisor and Principal.
|
Disciplinary Regulations
- Any student who is academically ineligible and participates in a contest/activity shall cause his/her team/group to forfeit that contest/performance.
|
Regaining Academic Eligibility
- Students will become eligible to participate with a group or team with the approval of the coach/advisor and Principal, when an interim report is issued which meets academic eligibility requirements, prior to the start of tryouts, practice, or elections.
- Students who come to school with an unexcused lateness on the day of a concert are not to perform.
