WESTMINSTER HIGH SCHOOL“OWL” MARCHING BAND

FEES AGREEMENT

 Dear Parent and Student:

            As a member of the WHS “Owl” Marching Band, the following fees and equipment will be required on the following due dates. Student fees are determined by the Directors and approved by school administration prior to the onset of the new season. Fees are based on previous year’s fees and projected expenses for the upcoming competitive season. We make every effort to keep fees to a minimum so that all interested students can participate. 

 STUDENT ACCOUNTS

Student accounts were created to provide students the opportunity to pay their fees through various fundraisers organized by the Instrumental Music Boosters. Specific fundraisers for student accounts are developed to help offset any financial burden for students and their families, by allowing either all or portions of funds raised to be credited toward each student’s respective fees.  Money earned is credited to their fees and statements are issued, so that students and parents are aware of amounts owed prior to the last payment deadline. ANY FUNDS EARNED IN EXCESS OF FEES OWED WILL BE PUT INTO THE INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC BOOSTER FUND. THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDING OF EARNED FUNDS IN THE CASE OF WITHDRAWAL OR DISMISSAL FROM THE BAND.

 FEE REFUNDS- Fees paid may be refunded according to the following schedule:

 ¯    50% refunded if withdrawal before the end of the July mini-camp

¯    No refunds will be issued for withdrawal after the July mini-camp or during the August Band camp.

 FEES

¯    All students will pay a $465.00 participation fee.

 These fees will be due in full at the August band camp.

 All new incoming Marching Band students will be required to additionally purchase (students will keep these items):

¯    WHS Band Jacket – $50

¯    Black Marching Band Shoes – $50

 All new incoming Color Guard students will be required to additionally purchase (students will keep these items):

¯    Shoes & Gloves – $50

¯    WHS Band Jacket – $50

 These items will be available for order and purchase through the Instrumental Music Boosters during Fitting Days.

 ALL WOODWIND, BRASS AND PERCUSSION STUDENTS MUST HAVE BY:

AUGUST 19, 2011 (WHS Marching Band 1st Performance)

Plain Dark Under Shirt (or show shirt) • Dark Bike Shorts • Dark Leggings/Underwear (when it gets cold)

 I understand and agree to pay all of the above required fees in order for my child to participate in the WHS Marching Band program. This amount will be paid in accordance with the fee timetable unless other arrangements are made in writing, with the band directors. I understand that failure to pay these fees by the due dates will result in my student’s inability to participate in the marching band.
